Battery Charging Systems
Integrated Design Services has been instrumental in helping design
Pulse Power's line of battery charging systems, two example which are
shown here. The upper picture shows the Freedom charger, which has the
ability to
charge a battery either alone or while attached to the radio.
IDS designed it to be cost effective, as well as functional and
stylish. Allowing for quick and easy assembly, it consists of only
three major parts, the upper and lower injection molded housing
sections and the printed circuit board assembly.
The lower picture shows Pulse Power's SM modular battery charger.
Versatility was a major factor in this design. This
system allows for the charging of many different batteries using the
same base unit and simply switching the replaceable battery cup. The
base unit can be used singly, or up to 6 units can be joined together
with a common power supply, with each able to charge a different style
of battery.
